I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and a doctoral candidate in the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH) at the University of Queensland. My research focuses on the moral discourses that developed around the proliferation of Darwinian evolutionary theories in late Victorian Britain. Other research interests include psychoanalysis, evolutionary science, and the psychology of religion. My recent article "Thomas Robert Malthus, Naturalist of the Mind" was awarded the Annals of Science Best Paper Prize for 2019.
