Qatar- Audit Bureau launches training plans for 2021


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Audit Bureau launched yesterday the plans for training programs, strategic projects and development initiatives for the year 2021, which include 199 training programs designed to meet the training and qualification needs of the SAI employees, employees of the bodies subject to its control, and university and school students. 

The inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of leaders of the Bureau, in addition to a number of officials and directors of departments in various authorities in the country who participated in attending the ceremony from a distance.

On this occasion, Assistant to the President for Performance and Compliance Control and Chairman of the Training and Capacity Development Committee at the Audit Bureau, Sheikh Fahd bin Hamad Al Thani, confirmed that the launch of training program plans for the year 2021 comes as a continuation of the process adopted by the Audit Bureau with the aim of developing functional capabilities and competencies in the areas of control and accounting.

Sheikh Fahd added that, despite the challenges resulting from what the world has witnessed from the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Bureau has been able to complete the plans for the training programs for the year 2020, by preparing and implementing alternative plans through remote training and e-learning platform, in line with the measures and precautionary measures taken in the state.

For her part,  Director of the Center of Excellence for Training and Development at the Audit Bureau, Rana Al Hajri, confirmed that the plans for training programs, strategic projects and development initiatives for the year 2021, include 141 programs for employees of the Audit Bureau, 19 programs for employees of bodies subject to the Bureaus control, 24 programs to qualify university students and 15 programs to aware school students, noting that at the level of staff of the Audit Bureau, the plans included programs for supervision and auditing methodologies, professional certificates and career rehabilitation programs. 

As for the bodies subject to supervision, development programs have been designed aiming at raising the capabilities of the employees of these bodies to raise the level of supervisory work, and at the student level, the Audit Bureau works to qualify university students to enter the labor market and educate school students about the importance of the supervisory role and introduce them to job opportunities in the Audit Bureau.

She added that the Center of Excellence for Training and Development at the Audit Bureau adopts the best training and development strategies with the aim of developing human resources and raising their efficiency and developing work methods to ensure effectiveness in performance. she pointed out that the new program plan has been thoughtfully designed to meet the actual training needs of the Bureau's employees and the bodies subject to supervision, in addition to the programs intended for university and school students, stressing the diversification in the methods of presenting programs in attendance, remotely and through the electronic platform, with full compliance with the precautionary measures in place.

She explained that the Audit Bureau strengthened cooperation at the local level with a number of agencies and bodies in the country in the fields of training, development and exchange of experiences by signing many memoranda of understanding with it, and at the international level, the Audit Bureau was keen to exchange experiences of the lecturers and participants with regional organizations and international regulatory agencies.
