PLO: restore ties with new US Admin. if it abides by pledges


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Palestine Liberation Organization has affirmed that the Palestinian leadership will restore relations with the US if the new administration reopened PLO's office in Washington, rejected annexation and settlement, and supported two-state solution and restoring aid.
This came in a statement issued by the Executive Committee Saturday night, stressing the need to continue to work on arranging domestic affairs and strengthening national unity.
The statement stressed the need of improve relations among Arab countries, and commit to the Arab Peace Initiative which was approved by Arab leaders in a summit in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2002.
The committee has also approved the formation of a preparatory sub-committee from its members to prepare for a meeting of the organizationآ's central council. (end)
