Egypt to compete for cargo village projects at Cairo International Airport, Sphinx International Airport
(MENAFN)Minister of Aviation Mohammed Manar declared that, the Egyptian Ministry of Aviation received investment offers from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to vie for cargo village projects at Cairo International Airport and Sphinx International Airport (west of Cairo).
His ministry plans to create cargo village and logistical areas at the two airports on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, indicating that the ministry has coordinated with the investment authority to receive investment offers to apply these projects, according to Mohammed Manar.
The Sphinx International Airport is being prolonged with the goal of receiving 900 passengers per hour instead of 300, in order to put up the supposed improvement in passenger traffic with the opening of the new Egyptian Museum, he further said.
