16.7 percent decline in Georgia foreign trade

The state statistics office said on Monday that the foreign trade turnover of Georgia came in at USD7.02 billion in the starting months of the current year, reporting a decline of 16.7 percent since a year ago.
Data showed that in the period, Turkey, Russia and China were the best three three trading partners of Georgia, having a USD970.4 million , USD820.6 million and USD737.5 million turnovers respectively.
Copper ores and concentrates along with motor cars were the most exported and imported goods for the country in the period, having values of USD462.1 million and USD481.6 million respectively.
The World Bank predicted previously that as a result of the coronavirus impact, the real GDP expansion of the country is predicted to decline strongly, to set at around zero percent in 2020.
