Shura Council participates in webinar on Human Rights Protection after COVID-19

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Shura Council participated yesterday in a parliamentary webinar on ‘Human Rights Protection after COVID-19', convened by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in cooperation with the European Alliance of Cities and Regions and their EU and world national associations.

Discussions during the webinar focused on exploring human rights scenes in local and regional administrations, governments and parliaments in the neighborhood of the European Union in the south and in the Mediterranean, along with providing concrete examples of how they dealt with human rights challenges and inequality during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Shura Council was represented in the webinar by Council Member H E Nasser bin Rashid Al Kaabi.
