Jordan condemns Houthi attacks on civilians in Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 14 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Monday denounced Yemen's Houthi militia's continued attacks on civilian population in Saudi Arabia and stressed that Jordan will continue to stand by Saudi Arabia in any steps the Kingdom takes to defend its security and stability.
In a statement, the ministry's spokesman, Daifallah al-Fayez also condemned the Houthis' continued missile and drone attacks on Yemen's Marib city, which is home to a large number of refugees who fled Houthi-controlled areas, indicating that such attacks exacerbate the Yemeni people suffering.
Al-Fayez stressed the need to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire and said the Houthis must comply with all UN efforts to bring about a political solution to the crisis and realize the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
