More 13,000 coronavirus cases recorded in Morocco

Health authorities of Morocco said on Friday that 319 more coronavirus patients have been confirmed in the country, increasing the total number of COVID-19 infections across the country to 13,228.

Hind Ezzine, the head of the department of epidemic diseases of the Ministry of Health, said during a press briefing that the number of patients that have recovered from the disease rose to 9,160 as 70 more patients recovered.

The official added that the total number of coronavirus related deaths across the country stands at 230 as of now as one more patient has died due to the disease.

The coronavirus death rate in the country remains stable at 1.7 percent as the recovery rate is at 68.9 percent.
