Lebanon, Iraq to collaborate in commerce, education sectors

(MENAFN) Local media reported that Iraqi Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar decided on Friday with Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab that Iraq will introduce industrial and agricultural products from Lebanon.

Jabbar was cited as saying by Elnashra, an online independent newspaper, "Lebanese food industries are very popular in Iraq which can constitute a good opportunity for Lebanon to increase its production and export it".

Jabbar's comments came during his summit with Diab at the Grand Serail in Beirut.

Jabbar noted that Iraq wants agricultural businesses to restart their operations in Iraq.

He added that Lebanon and Iraq have agreed to exchange skills in the education sector by allowing Iraqis to register in Lebanese universities.
