Jordan- Curfew may extend for weeks, says minister

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 22 (Petra) -- State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh on Sunday suggested that the current curfew, now in its second day, may "prolong and extend for days and weeks to come", urging students to follow up on their education remotely as if they were in classrooms.
Adaileh made the remarks during a joint press conference with the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and the Minister of Education, during which the latter announced the launch of a comprehensive distance learning platform and two TV channels broadcasting televised classes for all public schools students.
Adaileh indicated that the government has taken a number of measures to ensure the continuity of life in this crisis, in light of the curfew and the stoppage of all schools and educational institutions, government departments and bodies.
