Ukraine- Culture Ministry to allocate UAH 114 mln for restoration of architectural objects


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports intends to allocate UAH 114 million for the restoration of architectural objects.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Svitlana Fomenko stated this at a press briefing, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"As of today, the total amount is UAH 114 million. This is the sum that will be spent on the restoration of these objects," Fomenko said.

She specified that the funds will be used for the reconstruction the objects that are in pre-emergency or emergency coditions. In particular, this concerns the historical and architectural reserve Berezhany, the historical and architectural reserve Kamyana Mohyla (Stone Tomb), the Khotyn Fortress, one building in the territory of Kyiv's Saint Sophia Cathedral, and the Roman Catholic Church of St Nicholas.
