Qatar- Blood donation campaign launched in Al Shamal Municipality

Doha: The blood donation campaign, organised by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment started yesterday in Al Shamal Municipality. The drive is organised in collaboration with the Blood Donation Center of the Hamad Medical Corporation.

The campaign will continue for five days and starts daily from 8am until 1pm. In addition to Al Shamal Municipality, the campaign targets four municipalities, Al Khor & Al Dakhira, which will be held today, then Um Salal, Al Shahaniya and Al Wakrah respectively.

The blood donors are required to have an integrated healthy meal and that his sleep hours should not be less than 6 hours before the donation.

He also must have a Qatari ID, or health card, or driving license, and must be between the age of 18-65 years, and the weight should not be less than 50 kilogrammes, and that he should not come from a country where malaria is present.
