Burning of petroleum truck in central Sudan


(MENAFN) Official SUNA news agency reported a fuel truck carrying 9,000 gallons of gasoline burned up in the south of Wad Madani, capital city of Gezira State in central Sudan, some 189 km south of Khartoum.

Ali Mohamed Osman El Tayeb, police director of Gezira State said "The two-trailer fuel truck was travelling from Khartoum to Al Damazin, capital of Blue Nile State, carrying 9,000 gallons of gasoline, veered off from the road, overturned and burned,"

The police of Maringan locality, the traffic police and the civil defense authorities rushed to the incident site and secured the area, he added.

El Tayeb further stated that no loss in lives was reported, asking the drivers to abide by the traffic regulations for the safety of themselves and their properties.
