57 percent surge in Qatar Airways fleet size
(MENAFN) Flag carrier Qatar Airways achieved a 57 percent jump in the size of its fleet thanks to efforts of a broad international expansion.
By March 21st of this year, the flag carrier started presenting a 250 aircraft fleet compared to the 159 aircraft witnessed during the 2014-15 fiscal year.
Qatar Airways fleet consists of 203 passenger aircraft, 25 cargo and 22 Qatar Executive jets, with sub-leasing 8 aircraft to Air Italy.
Under its expansion plan, Qatar Airways is taking delivery of a new craft each 13.5 days on average as the carrier aims to offer travelers with more connectivity.
