Kuwaiti lands in prison for insulting and threatening a woman
(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: The Misdemeanor Court sentenced a citizen to three months in prison for offending, insulting and threatening a Kuwaiti woman and her husband in an Instagram post.
The Public Prosecution charged the accused with the abovementioned misdemeanors. Attorney Zaid Al-Khabbaz, lawyer for the plaintiff, highlighted results of cyber crimes investigations which confirmed that the account belongs to the accused.
He pointed out that the offensive phrases and threats negatively affected the plaintiff and her husband, indicating the defendant had criminal intent when he committed the act.
