Kuwait- Mina Abdullah Refinery resumes operations after brief pause
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) By Osama Galal
KUWAIT, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) said on Thursday Mina Abdullah Refinery was briefly forced shut and had to operate under Hot-In-Place recycling after a halt to steam production "without any impact on export operations." The pause, which occurred at 1615 (local time), led to a huge increase in excess hydrocarbon gases and forced the company to resort to flaring for operations to resume, KNPC spokesperson Abdallah Al-Ajmi told KUNA.
However, he underlined that "there are no impacts, as a result, on operations." (end) asj.sd
