Oman- State Council receives Bangladeshi National Defence College delegation

A National Defence College delegation from Bangladesh, led by Maj Gen Abdullah al Baqi, visited the State Council on Wednesday, as part of its current official visit to Oman. As per a statement, the delegation was greeted on arrival by Hon Saif Ali Shaikhan al Amri and Hon Sheikh Nasser bin Saeed al Haddabi, at the council building in Al Bustan.

Hon Amri wished the visitors a pleasant stay in the sultanate, success in their objectives and wished enhancement in the bonds of bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries. He praised the existing relations between the sultanate and Bangladesh, and noted the importance of such visits to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the countries in all fields.

He gave a brief about the Shura march in the sultanate, pointing out the high interest of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on the development of the institutional practice of Shura through systematic and studied progression and pointed out that the State Council contributes to the national work by implementing its duties and exercising its vested powers and competences.

Maj Gen Baqi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the honourable members of the council for the good reception, expressed happiness in visiting the sultanate and praised the comprehensive development of all fields.
