Ancient epitaph discovered in China

Chinese authorities said that an epitaph that dates back to more than 1,300 years ago has been discovered in the county of Linxi in Hebei region of China, according to Xinhua.

The piece had measurements of 47 cm long and 47 cm wide with 405 characters, it tells the history of the tomb owner's family, named Ju Yicheng who has been an official in the early Tang Dynasty, it also speaks of the good traits of the family, nobility and personal cultivation of Ju.

The head of the county's cultural heritage protection center, Zhang Xia, said that the ancient peace holds a significant reference for more research on the history and the military system of the Tang Dynasty.
