Food imports to Abu Dhabi down slightly

Abu Dhabi – The emirate of Abu Dhabi imported AED 7.71 billion (USD 2.1 billion) in food and agricultural products in 2018. The amount is down marginally from AED 7.78 billion (USD 2.12 billion) in 2017, Emirates News Agency ( WAM ) reported this Monday (22) quoting Statistics Centre - Abu Dhabi figures.

Agricultural product and food exports from Abu Dhabi amounted to AED 6.41 billion (USD 1.74 billion), down 12.8% year-on-year, while re-exports came out to AED 2.8 billion (USD 762 million), up 6%.
