Arab League condemns terror attack against Lebanon
Cairo, June 4 (Petra) -- The Arab League condemned a terror attack that targeted a military post Monday evening in the Lebanese city of Tripoli, killing and injuring military servicemen and security personnel.
The pan-Arab organization's spokesperson Mahmoud Afifi underscored the League's solidarity with the Lebanese people in combating terrorism in all its forms, pointing out that the League's Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stressed the importance of concerted efforts to stand in the face of any actions targeting the security and stability of Lebanon.
Afifi also extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims and hoped for a speedy recovery for the injured.
