(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Al Yousef Group (AYG) distributed 1,000 Ramadan baskets worth RO10,000 for social security and low-income families in several mosques in Muscat.
The baskets are being provided for those fasting in the wilayats of Muscat, Amerat and Barka. The initiative comes in view of AYG's corporate social responsibility programme and is an expression of solidarity with the Omani society.
Ghada bint Mohammed al Yousef, a member of the board of directors of the group, said that AYG donates during the holy month of Ramadan every year to support families with low and limited income.
'It provides families with essential good as part of its social responsibility programme. However, it carries out many other social programmes throughout the year.'
Ghada said that AYG under its CSR programme also provides support in the area of education through voluntary associations.
