Ashley Russo to Host 10th Annual Volunteer Challenge

HELLERTOWN, Pa. - April 30, 2019 - PRLog -- The three-time Emmy® awarding-winning executive producer and host of The PEAK TV, Ashley Russo, will emcee the 10th Annual Volunteer Challenge presented by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. The annual event will be held on May 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Musikfest Cafe room at SteelStacks. Eric Luftig, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications for Victaulic, is the event's honorary chair.

The agency's largest fundraising event will recognize 34 companies that partnered with local nonprofit organizations to participate in this year's Volunteer Challenge. For example, ASR Media Productions and PBS39 are capitalizing on their team's creative skills to help their nonprofits curate life changing stories. Air Products is working with Wildlands to aid in reconstructing their boardwalks and Victaulic has teamed up with ProJeCt of Easton and Klunk & Millan to retrofit a child's room for Cancer Support.

"This year we are helping The Salvation Army to highlight their Foster Care & Adoption services through a video," says Katie Wallace, Director of Photography at ASR Media Productions. "We're so proud to be participating in our fifth Volunteer Challenge. It's a great way to give back to a non-profit in the community and it's an awesome team-building activity, too. We're also excited to have Ashley as the host of this year's event."

Each team will be provided a table and opportunity to showcase their project where attendees can buy and cast votes on their favorite projects. A "People's Choice Award" will also be awarded at the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to bid on silent auction items, including trips, sporting events and live television shows in New York City.

Since the Volunteer Challenge first began, 64 companies have participated, 93 community organizations have been impacted and over 150 projects have been completed.
