Oman- Khasab gets highest rainfall: MRMWR


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Khasab in the Governorate of Musandam received the highest rainfall of 199mm in just three days (April 12-14), the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources (MRMWR) has said.

According to the rain monitoring stations under MRMWR, Khasab was followed by the wilayat of Dibba (110mm), Nizwa (103mm), Dima Wa al Taien (82mm), Ibri (70mm), Al Qabel (69mm), Nakhal (67mm), Izki (66mm), Bahla (65mm), Bukha (64mm), Al Hamra (55mm), Bausher (54mm), Samail (53mm), Adam (52mm), Manah (52mm), Mudhaibi (52mm) and Muscat (38mm). The lowest amount of rain recorded was in Saham and Al Sininah (7mm).

MRMWR also stated that its dams received 25,1315mn m3 rainwater during the period. It also stated that a number of wadis in the wilayats of Musandam, Dhahirah and Dakhliyah governorates were in full spate.

Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has announced that the northern governorates of the sultanate also witnessed a drop (a maximum of 3 degrees and minimum of 5 degrees) in temperature on April 14 as compared to April 13.
