China, Russia, Mongolia Conduct Border Defense Cooperation 2025 Drill

(MENAFN) China, Russia, and Mongolia carried out their inaugural joint border defense exercise Monday and Tuesday in the tri-border area, the People's Liberation Army Daily reported Wednesday.

Dubbed "Border Defense Cooperation 2025," the drill focused on boosting joint efforts to combat terrorism and sabotage along shared borders.

This live exercise aimed to sharpen the three nations' capabilities in addressing border security threats while deepening strategic trust among their armed forces.

During the operation, the countries set up a joint command post on Chinese soil, coordinating on planning, reconnaissance, and strike missions — testing a novel model for collaborative border defense.

At the conclusion of the drill, military officials exchanged insights on managing and controlling their shared borders.
