NZ raises 0.6 percent in GDP growth


(MENAFN) Statistics New Zealand (Stats NZ) unveiled on Thursday the country to have recorded a 0.6 percent increase in its GDP by December 2018.

Stats NZ senior manager Gary Dunnet explained that "growth in this quarter was led by the service industries, contributing a 0.9 percent rise."

According to data, the senior manager revealed, the goods-producing industries registered a 0.2 percent raise.

Dunnet added that "reduced livestock production had an impact on agriculture, while mining activity was still on its way from a partial recovery last quarter."
