PLO condemns Israeli plan to set up new settlements

(MENAFN) Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) condemned a resolution Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to construct 840 new settlement units in the West Bank.

Secretary General of PLO Saeb Erekat criticized the decision during an interview with Voice of Palestine on Tuesday.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) received an appeal from the official to "open an investigation with Israeli criminals who are committing the crimes of settlements on Palestinian territory."

Erekat stressed "the ICC is not a court for states, but for individuals, those who carry out such crimes as Netanyahu and all those involved in settlement activity, killings, the closures, the sieges, the ethnic cleaning and they are all known."
