Brunei trade balance declines 5.9 percent


(MENAFN) Brunei was announced to have registered in its trade balance for 2018 a decline by 5.9 percent with imports exceeding exports.

On Sunday, Brunei Darussalam International Trade Statistics revealed USD2.41 billion to have been recorded in the trade surplus for last year.

It comes with imports posting a 32 percent surge while exports witnessing a 15 percent jump, causing imbalance,

Trade surplus in the country hit a 27.2 percent drop in December 2018 compared to results seen in December 2017.
