Minister: Turkey to open new checkpoint with Syria

Turkey will open a new checkpoint with Syria, which will be called the Olive Branch, Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan said.
'The new checkpoint on the border with Syria will open on March 12, 2019,' Pekcan added, Trend reports referring to the Turkish media.
The new checkpoint on the border with Syria is located in Turkey's Hatay province.
Today there are 27 checkpoints on the Turkish borders. Four of them are located on the border with Iraq, seven are not currently operating, one of the closed checkpoints is located on the border with Armenia.
