(MENAFN) North Macedonia and Albania will work to increase cooperation in the defense sector, the defense ministers of both nations decided on Monday as they encountered in Skopje.
North Macedonian defense minister Radmila Shekerinska informed a joint press conference, "Over the past couple of years, not only words but also deeds have shown that the two countries are true friends that give each other full support when it matters".
Shekerinska stated that North Macedonian forces will participate in a multinational drill in Albania later in 2019, the Adriatic Charter-U.S. initiative chaired by Albania and the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
In her comments, Albanian Defense Minister Olta Xhacka affirmed that Albania sees the stability and security of North Macedonia as the key element for the security in the region.
