Turkish stock index opens at 0.06 percent raise


(MENAFN) Turkey recorded a 0.06 percent, or 60.41 points, increase in its benchmark stock index once it opened its Wednesday session, standing at 99,737.52 points.

The U.S. dollar-Turkish lira exchange rate posted 5.3450 at open on Wednesday, from the 5.3490 closing of Tuesday trading.

The euro-lira exchange rate also registered a decline to hit 6.0740 on Wednesday, compared to Tuesday's ending at 6.1060.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index posted on Tuesday a 1.7 percent boost, ending the day at 99,677.11 points, while generating USD1.5 billion in its daily trading volume.
