AL blasts Turkey's assaults in northern Iraq
(MENAFN) The Arab League (AL) expressed strong opposition towards the frequent attacks the Turkish military launched in northern Iraq.
In a statement, AL spokesman Mahmoud Afifi emphasized that "such actions are violation to the sovereignty of the Iraqi state."
The AL further dismissed the strikes, saying that Turkey's objective to commence such operations is not significant.
It further stressed that such assaults are not abiding by the nature of international law and the principles of good-neighborliness.
