China remains Namibia's main export destination


(MENAFN) Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) said that China is still the largest importer of Namibian products and services in the third quarter of the year, making up 23 percent of its total exports.

Data released by the NSA showed that South Africa ranks second at 17 percent and Botswana third at 11 percent.

NSA Statistician General said: "Overall exports grew by 56 percent, and imports went up by 16 percent".

Trade deficit in the third quarter improved significantly, a development good for economic recovery, he added.
