Foreign Secretary, Houthi Leaders to meet in Sweden amid Yemen peace talks
(MENAFN) The Foreign Secretary is scheduled to travel to the Swedish capital, Stockholm, to join UN-led peace talks meant to end Yemen's conflict.
Jeremy Hunt will become the first UK minister to encounter Houthi leaders since the battle in the country began in 2015.
The Foreign Secretary, who will encounter UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and UN Special Envoy Martin Griffiths, said: "Yemen is the world's worst humanitarian catastrophe, and these peace talks represent the best opportunity in years to move towards the political solution the people of Yemen urgently need."
