Iran may increase oil production due to Qatar's exit from OPEC


(MENAFN) Dr. Luciano Zaccara says Qatar extract from OPEC may upsurge the quota (of power and production) that OPEC may assign to Iran, which is not in line with the US policy towards Iran.

Qatar will leave from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Persian Gulf nation's Energy Minister Saad Sherida al-Kaabi proclaimed.

The resolution to leave the bloc of 15 oil-producing states that account for an important ratio of the world's oil production was confirmed by Qatar Petroleum, the state oil company, previous Monday.
