Kuwait Speaker meets with Chilean MPs in Geneva

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GENEVA, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Assembly speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim Tuesday met with head of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile delegation, and Chairman of Kuwaiti-Chilean Friendship Committee Ivan Flores Garcia on the sidelines of the 139th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) currently convenening in Geneva.
The two delegations discussed means of enhancing parliamentry cooperation and coordinating stances towerds various isues at international praliamentary forums.
They also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest and the latest regional and international developments.
The meeting was attended by Kuwait Parliament Secretary MP Dr. Awdah Al-Rowaie and Member of the Kuwaiti parliamentary caucus MP Dr. Khalil Abul.
Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim heading a parliamentary delegation arrived on Saturday in Geneva to participate in the 139th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) scheduled on October 14-18. (end) fn.ha
