Kuwait- Egyptian PM: countries should exchange future water visions

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Oct 14 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli said Sunday countries around the world should exchange future visions in order to increase awareness over importance of water issues.
Madbouli, addressing the opening session of an international conference on "First Cairo Water Week," called for adopting measures to achieve water integration to maintaining water resources "in order to honor need of current generations without harming future generations." He said developing countries in Africa suffered low water resources, as well as electricity and energy in general.
The world, added Madbouli, was facing "severe" challenges like obtaining clean drinking water, proper sewers, food and energy security.
Regional countries suffering from problems in their water systems, he said, should have proper planning for sustainable use of water resources.
Kuwait is represented by Khalifa Al-Furaij, Ministry of Electricity and Water's (MEW) Assistant Undersecretary for Water Operations and Maintenance. (pickup previous) rg.bs
