Oman- Ibri fish market project nears completion


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The fish market project in Ibri in Dhahirah governorate has reached its final stages. The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries along with Petroleum Development Oman is building the new fish market.

Once completed, it will provide employment to many people in the wilayat, both in the field of fish transport and trade and other related activities in the fisheries sector. The market is expected to facilitate the supply and sale of various types of fish.

The building of the market comes in the interest of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to develop the marketing system of fisheries wealth through the establishment and development of wholesale and retail markets and outlets.

The market in Ibri will have a sophisticated central air conditioning system, modern display tables complying with quality control requirements, shops, stores and an ice production unit.
