EXTRAVAGANT MILITARY PARADE IN MAKKAH AHEAD OF HAJJ. Saudi armed forces ride on an armoured vehicle during a parade in Saudi Arabia's holy city of Mecca on August 13, 2018, ahead of the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Saudi Arabia held an extravagant military parade before the annual Haj pilgrimage on Monday. The annual parade showcased the Kingdoms military might of elite forces and their assets, participating in formation marches, as well as helicopters hovering above, at Arafat. The soldiers also took part in spectacular simulated anti-terrorism tactical exercises that included taking down terrorists during high-speed car chase, as well as a raid on a mock-up three-storey building, which ended with an explosion.
