Oman- Over 10,000 visit Salalah as khareef season begins

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Salalah received 10,343 visitors in the first few days of the khareef season that began on June 21, according to statistics released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Of the total number of visitors, 1,224 were from GCC nations. There were 7,037 Omani visitors. The number of visitors of other nationalities was 1,456 including 1,330 from Asian countries, 79 from European countries and the rest from other nations.

The visitor survey, which started on June 21 will continue till September 21. The survey is being carried out for the 14th successive year, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the ROP to provide data and information that reflect the status of the tourism sector in Dhofar.
