(MENAFN) French President Emmanuel Macron suggested during his visit to the US to cooperation with other parties for a new agreement on Iran to be established.
Even though the 2015 nuclear accord was not "sufficient," it "enabled us, at least until 2025, to have some control over their nuclear activities," the French president noted during a joint press conference with President Trump.
President Macron then declared his aspiration that "from now on, to work on a new deal with Iran."
He then called for the new agreement to include four aspects, which are to ban Iranian nuclear activities until 2025, as well as making certain that no nuke activities are launched in the far future, preventing Tehran's ballistic activities, and to create terms for a political settlement in order to "contain" Iran.
