Kuwait- Ministry of Interior denies permitting rallies

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Kuwaiti Shiites gather before the Iranian embassy in Kuwait City on March 7, calling for Iranian Shiite cleric.

KUWAIT CITY, March 7: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) denied Wednesday the credibility of recent social media circulations on granting a security permission to rally in front of Iran's embassy for one hour.

No permission was granted to conduct public rallies, the ministry's general department of public relations and security media affirmed in a press statement.

The ministry called on the country's residents to commit to Kuwait's laws and not drift into unknown claims or calls, urging social media users to take responsibility and check the accuracy of news before circulating them.

The security institution, represented by MOI's security media department, is open to any questions and inquiries, it affirmed. (KUNA)
