Turkey won't allow any terrorist forces to concentrate in Afrin, including the so-called Syrian National Defense Forces, said Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish media reported Feb. 22.

Earlier, the so-called national defense forces tried to break into Afrin, but Turkish armed forces gave them a serious rebuff, the foreign minister said.

Safekeeping Syria's territorial integrity is a priority for Turkey, according to Cavusoglu.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.
