Turkey detains over 780 people for propaganda of terrorism

Turkey has detained over 786 people for propaganda of terrorism on social networks since the beginning of the Operation Olive Branch, the Turkish Interior Ministry said in a message Feb. 19.
Among the detainees, there are also 16 members of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) terrorist group.
On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.
F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
