Bashir says Sudan ready to cooperate with Egypt to fullest extent


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KHARTOUM, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir on Wednesday reiterated his country's readiness to cooperate with Egypt to the fullest extent.
"Sudan is keen on its relations with all those who respect the sovereignty of Sudan and recognize its right to take care of its interests without prejudice to the interests of others," Sudanese media quoted Bashir as saying.
Bashir said that "Sudan does not want to deteriorate its relationship again with Egypt and is ready to cooperate with it to the maximum extent in a manner that does not conflict with its interests." آ آ آ In the same context, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Ghandour said that a committee of foreign, security and intelligence ministers between Sudan and Egypt will meet in Cairo during the next two weeks to discuss outstanding issues, including the case of Halaib.
"The return of the Sudanese ambassador in Cairo or not is not a problem," Ghandour said.
