Saudi King discusses with UK Premier Houthi missile attack on Riyadh


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made a telephone call Wednesday to Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May.

During the call, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom expressed condemnation by the United Kingdom of the attempt by the Houthi militia to target the city of Riyadh Tuesday with a ballistic missile, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

It added the UK premier assured the Saudi King that the United Kingdom's keenness on maintaining the security of the kingdom and the region.

She stressed the need to alert the international community to the destructive role of the Iranian regime and its threat to peace and stability in the region.

The two leaders also discussed humanitarian and relief efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, the SPA added. (end) od.ibi
