(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Tapio Pulkkanen has been presented with a Rolex Datejust 41mm watch for winning the Challenge Tour's 2017 Road to Oman.

The presentation was made by Anil Khimji, director of Khimji Ramdas Group, which includes Khimji's Watches, the sole Rolex retailer in Oman, following the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final at Al Mouj Golf, Oman, on behalf of Rolex. Rewarding consistent performances throughout the season, Pulkkanen, from Finland, notably earned one win as well as five top 10s in 2017, helping the 27 year old top the Road to Oman Rankings.

Meanwhile, following a display of excellence and precision over the Championship Course at Al Mouj Golf, which flanks the Indian Ocean, Clement Sordet of France was crowned the winner of the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final, the final tournament of the season on the Challenge Tour, of which Rolex is the Official Timekeeper.

The Challenge Tour is a proven training ground for future stars of the game, and Rolex Testimonees to have learned their trade on it include major winners Martin Kaymer and Brooks Koepka, as well as the 2018 European Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn.
