Security Risk is Low in Morocco: Business Travel Risk Map

The Web based interactive map includes risk status information for several cities in around three principal domains: medical, and road safety. The map indicates that travel security risk (assumed to be related to personal safety, likelihood of crime, or terrorism activity) in and all other major cities is considered to be low, while the medical risk is shown to be medium. Road safety risk, however, is shown to be high in the .

For Algiers, Algeria, all three domains were graded as high risk: medical, travel security and road safety. Tunis, Tunisia receives medium risk grades for medical and travel security domains, while the risk is very high in the road safety domain, just like Morocco. Cairo, Egypt received medium risk grades for both medical and travel security domains (though, the western half of Egypt and the northern Sinai received a high risk designation). Road safety risk in the country is designated moderate, slightly better than Morocco.

In Libya, where two rival governments are battling for control of the war-torn nation, the grades are low for all three domains. Both medical risk and road safety risk are rated as very high, and the travel security risk is extreme.

Finland, Norway and Iceland received the best grades. All three received the low-risk designation for all three domains, according to the map.

Areas that pose the greatest risk regarding road safety are Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Bolivia. European nations, as well as New Zealand, Japan and Australia, received either a low or very low risk designation in this category.
