Qatar Airways cancels flights to Paris on Oct 10

Doha: Due to the industrial strike in France Qatar Airways announced that the airline is cancelling its flight to Paris on October 10. The airline announced on twitter that 'Qatar Airways flights QR037/038 to/from Paris (CDG) cancelled on 10 October.

Qatar Airways urged passengers travelling during this period to refer to the Flight Status Tab on the Qatar Airways homepage for live-status flight information.

'Due to industrial strike action in France on Tuesday 10th October, flights to and from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport are subject to delay or cancellation.

'Qatar Airways flight QR037/QR038 on Tuesday 10th October (DOH-CDG-DOH) stands cancelled as a result, a notice on the airline website said.

All other flights remain as scheduled.

The French civil aviation authority (DGAC) has recommended that airlines reduce their flights by 30 percent on Tuesday due to a strike call by civil service unions, the transport ministry said on Friday.

The airports affected are likely to include Paris' two main airports, Charles de Gaulle and Orly, as well as Beauvais, Lyon, Nice, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Nantes.

"Disruptions are expected throughout the country" on Tuesday, the ministry said in a statement.
Unions have urged some 5,4 million public service workers to stay off the job on Tuesday in protest over measures announced by the government.

French President Emmanuel Macron has recently pushed through a raft of labour reforms opposed by the unions and leftist politicians.
