Pakistan- Sri Lanka fights back after losing early wickets


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) ABU DHABI, 28 September: Sri Lanka lose four wickets on first day of test here in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The visiting team was 61-3 when opener Dimuth Karunaratne's led his team recovered after scoring a half century.

He scored 81 not out with Dinesh Chandimal on 32 whereas both pairs added 82 runs for an unbroken fourth wicket partnership.

Sri Lanka had scored 227-4 on first day of test. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah grabbed two wickets to leave Sri Lanka struggling at 61-3 at lunch.

Yasir Shah dismissed Kusal Mendis for 10 in the last over before the interval after earlier removing opener Kaushal Silva for 12 to kick-start Pakistan on a greenish wicket at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
