Qatar gears up to host fifth round of FINA World Cup
Doha: Qatar Swimming Association (QSA) is continuing its preparations for the fifth round of FINA/airweave Swimming World Cup 2017, which takes place at Hamad Aquatic Centre in Doha on October 4 and 5.
The round will bring together a group of the leading Olympic and world medallists as they contest in 36 competitions over two days.
The winners of each competition will be awarded $1,500, the second $1,000 and the third $500, while any record breaker will be entitled to a special reward of $10,000.
The first round was held in Moscow on August 2 and 3, the second was staged in Berlin on August 6 and 7, while the third took place in Eindhoven on August 11 and 12 and Hong Kong is set to host the fourth on September 30 and October 1.
